I. Connection and Identification Issues

Q1: What should I do if the computer cannot recognize the USB camera?

A1: Check the connection: Use a different USB port (preferably a rear port on the motherboard), and avoid using extension cables or hubs.

Check the device status: In the Windows "Device Manager", look for a yellow exclamation mark under "Image Devices" or "Cameras". If there is one, try to update or reinstall the driver. If you are using a driver-free camera, unplug and replug it.

System permissions: Make sure that camera access permission is enabled in the system settings (such as "Privacy and Security" - "Camera" in Windows).

Q2: "USB device exceeds power limit" or connection unstable?

A2: The camera has a relatively high power consumption. Please directly connect it to the USB 3.0 port (blue interface) of your computer or replace it with a port that provides stronger power supply.

Unplug other USB devices that are not in use temporarily to reduce the bus load.

II. Issues with the Picture and Picture Quality

Q1: The picture is blurry and unclear?

A1: Focus issue: Check if the camera is of the autofocus (AF) type. If not, manually adjust the focus ring on the lens to achieve clarity.

Lens cleaning: Use a soft cloth to wipe the surface of the lens.

Resolution setting: In the software being used (such as Zoom, WeChat, OBS), set the video resolution to the highest resolution of the camera.

Q2: Does the screen experience lag and high latency?

A2: Excessive usage: Close other programs that are using the camera.

Reduce settings: In video software, appropriately lower the resolution or frame rate (for example, from 1080p 30fps to 720p).

USB bandwidth: Ensure that the camera is connected to a USB 3.0 or higher interface. USB 2.0 may not be able to support high resolution smoothly.

Q3: Is the picture too dark or overexposed?

A3: In the camera software or through third-party tools (such as ManyCam, OBS), adjust parameters such as exposure, brightness, and contrast.

Improve the environmental lighting and avoid strong light sources in the background (such as windows).

III. Sound Issues

Q1: The other party cannot hear my voice, or the voice is very faint?

A1: Microphone selection: In the audio settings of the conference/live streaming software, make sure that "USB camera" or the specific model of the camera has been selected as the microphone device instead of the built-in microphone of the computer.

System check: In the "Input" device section of the system sound settings, verify if the camera microphone is disabled and increase its volume.

Physical inspection: Ensure that the camera microphone hole is not blocked.

IV. Software and Application Issues

Q1: You can't find the camera in a certain software (such as WeChat)?

A1: Permission issue: In the settings of this software, check if the camera access permission has been granted.

Exclusive Mode: Close all other programs that might be using the camera (such as browsers, other conference software), then try again.

Q2: How to achieve special effects such as beautification and background blurring?

A2: Some brand cameras (such as Logitech and Razer) come with official software (such as Logi Tune) for basic adjustments.

Using third-party software: OBS Studio (free, powerful) combined with virtual camera plugins, or ManyCam, Camo, etc.

V. Compatibility and System Issues

Q1: Can't use on a Mac computer?

A1: Most USB cameras are plug-and-play. If that doesn't work, you can try using tools like Camera Settings or Soundflower to manage them.

Check in "System Preferences" - "Security & Privacy" - "Camera" to see if the relevant applications are allowed to use the camera.

Q2: After the system update, is the camera no longer working?

A2: Roll back or reinstall the camera driver. Right-click on the camera device in the "Device Manager", select "Uninstall Device", and check the box "Delete the driver software for this device". Then, reinsert the camera to let the system install it automatically.

VI. Privacy and Security

Q1: How to turn off the camera without unplugging it?

A1: Physical obstruction: Use the camera privacy cover (the safest option).

System Disable: Temporarily disable the device in the "Device Manager", or globally disable camera access permission in the system settings.

VII. Purchase Suggestions

Q1: How to Choose the Right USB Camera for Yourself?

A1: Basic office / online classes: 1080p 30fps, with an autofocus and noise-cancelling microphone is sufficient.

Professional live streaming/conference: Choose the 1080p 60fps or 4K model with a larger sensor, automatic lighting adjustment, and adjustable field of view (such as 78° - 90°).

Dark light environment: Pay attention to the description of "low light correction" or "high-sensitivity sensor".

Compatibility: Ensure your operating system (Windows/macOS/Chrome OS) is supported.
