The GlobalShutterCamera, as its name suggests, is a global shutter camera module. Its working principle is to pair each pixel with an analog storage element, so that the light signal can be captured and stored simultaneously by all pixels.

The opposite of "global shutter" is "rolling shutter". The latter usually reads and stores the light captured by the pixels from top to bottom and from left to right. The former captures simultaneously, while the latter has a time difference, and thus the difference is most obvious when shooting sports or fast-moving objects. The rolling shutter causes diagonal tilting of fast-moving objects or very strange distortion phenomena.
